Do you need a Service Quote or Consultation?

After becoming an ISA Certified Arborist in 1999, Tim Costley has been helping our community for 20 years performing consultations and issuing reports on a regular basis. He has also performed countless tree hazard assessments, plant health care prescriptions, tree inventories, tree appraisals and has also been hired as an expert witness for court cases involving trees.

Here at Superior Arbor Management, our first point of contact with our customers includes scheduling an appointment for a service quote or a consultation with our ISA Certified Arborist, Tim Costley. Both take place on your property in which Tim will meet you in person or speak with you over the phone while he's on the property. In most cases, the customer will mark the trees in question with ribbon if they will not be on the property to meet in person. It is important for individuals to know the difference between an appointment for a quote and a consultation.

What is the difference between a “service quote” and a “consultation”?

A price quote is defined when a customer has a reasonable idea of which service is needed. We never charge for a price quote for service. Of course we will always assist, guide, and direct our customers towards the services needed to achieve their goals. Then we provide a fair and competitive price to perform the service(s).

A consultation includes but is not limited to all services listed above under “Meet Our ISA Certified Arborist”. This includes tree hazard assessments, plant health care prescriptions, etc. In these situations the customer is paying for the expertise and the knowledge of the Arborist and not necessarily just a quote for service. In other words, the consultant is not there to sell you anything but to give you the facts concerning your trees.

What are the fees for a consultation?:

Pricing varies depending on your location and the scope of your project. Pricing for a Level One Assessment (Visual Inspection only) starts at $150+. Additional inspections (requiring climbing trees, soil tests, etc.), and Arborist Reports are an additional cost. Please contact us for a custom quote on your project!
